A Sample of Different Types of Doors:
Hinged
The most common interior door that swing open and shut as needed, typically by 3 hinges.
Sliding
Door that slide open, typically found as closet doors or glass doors that lead to the backyard.
Mounted Sliding/Sliding Barn
Wall mounted sliding doors that can be moved out of the way of the doorway rather than swinging open. The difference between these and other sliding doors, is the tracks are mounted to an interior wall.
Pocket
Pocket doors function similar to sliding doors, except the door slides into a pocket in the wall and out of sight, rather than to the side.
Folding/Bifold
These types of doors are very popular with closet doors. They fold when opened and lay flat when closed.
French
French doors give a very classical feel to a home, hinging two doors on opposing sides of a large doorway that open out and latch at the top to the frame.
Louver
Angled wood slat doors that promote increased air flow and circulation.
